Cycles for Jesus Project
Several teams are trained and ready to go distances beyond their walking ability to spread the good news of Jesus particularly to the Unreached People Groups (UPGs). Our LIO, Prakash in Chandajar, India tells us they have received good reports, stories, and photos from their cycle teams emphasizing the fact that the teams are well-received in the villages and many new believers have been baptized.
Prakash further states, "Women teams are most effective as women are very much open to women. Women are very much receptive to gospel message. We will continue growing this program in the near future. We can buy another 10-15 cycles for new women leaders and commission them for the "Cycle for Jesus" Project III. We can buy Bibles and New Testaments and gospel books for the teams. We need your continued encouragement to all of the teams."
In some areas the women teams may experience opposition and potential danger going from village to village. Keep praying. God has protected them so far. New teams are being trained for evangelism. Once we can purchase more cycles, they too will be sent out with the gospel to unreached villages who have never yet heard the story of Jesus.
“My name is Kalpana C. from Pathankot town of Punjab state of India. I am 52 years old and a vegetable seller.
I was very sick for the last three months due to a serious tumor in my neck. I tried many medicines, visited hospitals, but I could not be cured. One day, the Cycles for Jesus team came to my village and shared the gospel to me and prayed for me and for healing. The Lord Jesus healed me in a miraculous way. I am completely cured.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. I took water baptism. Because of my salvation and healing, and sharing my testimony to my villagers, 14 people accepted Lord Jesus Christ, took water baptism and a new church was born in my village.”
Arjun S. is 57 years old, a businessman from Himachal Pradesh state. He had a huge loss in his business. He was unable to pay back the loan money to the bank. At one point, he decided to kill himself by eating poison. Cycles for Jesus team visited him in his village that day, shared the good news, and prayed for him. The Lord answered their prayers, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and took water baptism.
The Lord started blessing him and his business became profitable again. He was able to pay back all the loan amount. He shared his testimony to his family, friends and relatives. 15 of them accepted Jesus Christ and became believers — another new church is born!
