Volunteering

Competent, confident, hard working, passionate, and loyal are significant traits of the all important volunteer.

While you may not be in Colorado Springs where most of our activity happens, there are many other ways and means to be involved as a volunteer with Leaders in Obscurity Network (LION). Maybe you don’t think all of those traits apply to you but we’re not measuring anyone against anyone else. We will be very grateful for whatever help you can add to our influence of the LIOs in India and the other places we are privileged to be involved.

Check out these lists of suggestions and let us know what you can be involved with. Thank you for considering and making the commitment to volunteer to make a difference with LION.

How can I help?

  1. Sign up for email list.

  2. Donate to a specific project.

  3. Write a letter to one of our LIOs. We will see it gets to them.

  4. Honorary donations on behalf of a friend or loved one.

  5. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

  6. We also have opportunities in these areas:

    • video editing

    • mailings

    • social media posts

    • special events

    • special projects for children & orphanages

    • sales of fair trade products

    • trips to the mission field

…Is there something else I can do?

  1. Pray!

  2. Change your cover photos on Facebook and Twitter to a LION photo.

  3. Engage your church: take an offering for one of our projects!

  4. Ask for donations to LION instead of birthday, wedding, or holiday gifts.

  5. See if your employer has a matching gift program.

  6. Get social: Post on social media. Tweet!

  7. Sell something on eBay and donate a percentage to LION through eBay Giving Works. Search for LION Outreach and designate it as your charity to support. Email Amy@lionoutreach.org or use the Contact form if you have any questions!

  8. Volunteer: We have offices in Colorado Springs, Lyden, Washington, and Burbank, California.
